Within 24 hours of our site visit, you will receive a clear, detailed, fully transparent bid.

Ghaster Electrostatic Painting Process

This type of modern painting is a method that utilizes a magnetic field to apply paint to metal surfaces and certain types of plastics. By charging the object negatively and the paint positively, a strong attraction forms, ensuring a smooth and durable finish.
STEP 01
Before painting begins, the metal surface undergoes thorough cleaning and preparation to remove dirt, grease, and any previous coatings. This initial step ensures proper adhesion of the new paint.
STEP 02
The item to be painted is connected to a power source that applies a negative electric charge to it. This is typically done using a negatively charged electrode or a hook resembling a battery cable.
STEP 03
Paint is positively charged as it is sprayed from a nozzle. The paint particles with a positive charge are attracted to the metal surface, which has a negative charge, forming an electrostatic bond. This ensures consistent paint coverage all around the object.
STEP 04
As electrostatic forces attract the paint particles, they adhere tightly to the metal surface. This results in a smooth, even finish without the need for multiple coats.
STEP 05
The painted object is allowed to cure, during which the paint undergoes chemical reactions to harden into a durable finish. The curing time depends on the specific type of paint used and the environmental conditions in which it is applied.
